Today's Subhashita.

 स जातो येन जातेन याति वंशः समुन्नतिम्  |
परिवर्तिनि संसारे मृतः को  वा  न जायते      ||     -सुभाषितरत्नाकर

अर्थ -    उसी व्यक्ति जन्म वास्तव में सार्थक होता है जिसके जन्म
लेने से उसका वंश उन्नति और प्रसिद्धि प्राप्त करता है , अन्यथा इस
सदैव  बदलते  रहने वाले संसार में  ऐसा कौन  व्यक्ति है जिसकी
जन्म लेने के पश्चात  मृत्यु नहीं होती है  ?

Sa jaato yena jaatena yaati vmshh samunnatim/
Parivartini smsaare mruthh ko vaa na jaayate.

Sa = he.    jaato =  born.    yean =  whose.   Jaatena = being
born.     Yaati = becomes.    Vmshh = family dynasty.
Samunnatim = eminence, advancement.     Parivartini =
ever changing.      Smsaare = this World.    Mruthh = dead.
Ko = who.     Vaa =  is      Na = not.     Jaayate = takes birth

i.e.         The birth of a person is meaningful only when he is
instrumental in advancing the glory and eminence of his family
dynasty,  otherwise in this ever changing World is there such a
person who ultimately does not become dead after being born. ?
