Today's Subhashita.

अहो  भार्या अहो  पुत्रं अहो आत्मा अहो  सुखं   |
अहो  माता अहो भ्राता पश्य मायाविमोहितं  || -महासुभषितसंग्रह (४१७१)

अर्थ -      अहो !    देखो तो परमेश्वर की माया से  मोहित हो कर  मनुष्य
यही  कहता रहता है कि  यह्  मेरी स्त्री है , यह्  मेरा  पुत्र है , यह्  मेरी  माता
है, यह  मेरा भाई  है और कामना करता है कि इन सब से  मुझे सुख प्राप्त
होगा  |    (परन्तु वास्तविक जीवन में ऐसा कम  ही होता हैं)

Aho bhaaryaa aho putram  aho  aatmaa aho sukham,
Aho maataa aho  bhraataa pashya  maayaa vimohitam.

Aho =  Oh !/    Bhaaryaa = wife.    Putram = son.    Aatmaa = self,
soul.     Maataa = mother.    Bhraataa = brother.   Pashya = behold,
look !    Maayaa = supernatural illusion,   Vimohitam = confused,
bewitched.

i.e.       Aah !   see how confused are people by the supernatural
illusion of well being when  they say that this is my wife, my son,
my mother, and my brother, and   will derive happiness through
them ( which  is rarely possible in real life ).
