Today's Subhashita.

अहो प्रच्छादिताकार्यनैपुण्यं  परमं  खले  |
यत्तुषाग्निरिवानर्चिदहन्नपि   लक्ष्यते   || - महासुभषितसंग्रह (4160) in



अर्थ -    अहो !   दुष्ट व्यक्ति  अन्य व्यक्तियों  की नजर से छिपा कर
दुष्कर्म (अपराध) करने में ऐसे ही अत्यन्त कुशल  होते हैं जिस  प्रकार
कि भूसे के ढेर में दबी हुई आग की लौ दिखाई नहीं देती  है  |

Aho pracchaaditaakaaryanaipunuam paramam khale.
Yattushaagnirivaanarchidahannapi lakshyate.

Aho =  Oh !     Pracchaaditaakaaryanaipunyam = pracchadit +
akaarya+ naipunyam.      Pracchadit = covered, hidden.
Akaarya = criminal action,  prohibited action.   Naipunyam =
experienced, skilled.  Paramam = very well.    Khale = mean
wicked persons.     Yattushaagnirivaanarchidahannapi = yat +
tushaagnih + ivaam +archih+dahana +na  +api.     Yat= that.  
Tushaagni = fire in chaff.   Ivaam  = like.     Archih = flame.  
Dahan = burn.   Na = not.Api = even.   Lakshyate = is visible..

i.e.     Oh !    Wicked persons are very skilled in  committing
crimes hidden from the view of society, just like a flame  of
fire hidden under a heap of chaff (husk).
