Today's Subhashita.

आत्मद्वेषाद्भवेन्मृत्युः   परद्वेषाद्धनक्षयः  |
राजद्वेषाद्भवेन्नाशो बृह्मद्वेषात्कुलक्षयः   || - महासुभषितसंग्रह (4558)

अर्थ -     स्वयं अपने से द्वेष करने से  (नियमानुकूल  जीवनयापन न करने
 से ) मनुष्य की मृत्यु हो जाती है,  और अन्य व्यक्तियों से द्वेष् करने से
धन नष्ट  हो जाता है |    राजा  या  शासक वर्ग  से  द्वेष करने से व्यक्ति का
नाश हो जाता है , परन्तु   बृह्मद्वेष (ईश्वर की सत्ता को न मानना ,धर्म
का पालन न करना तथा ब्राह्मणों के प्रति द्वेष् की भावना) के कारण तो
समस्त परिवार और कुल ही नष्ट हो जाता  है |

Aatmadveshaadbhavenmrutyuh paradveshaaddhanakshayah.
Raajdveshaadbhavennasho  Bruhmadveshaatkulakshayah .

Aatmadveshaadbhavenmrutyuh  = Aatmadveshaat +bhavet +
naasho.     Aatmadveshaat = due to hating one's own self.
Bhavet = may happen.   Mrutyuh = death.   Paradveshaat =
due to being inimical to others.       Dhanakshayah = loss of
money or wealth.  Raajdveshaadbhavennasho =  Raajdveshaad+
bhavet+naasho.     Raajdveshaat = due to enmity wit the King
(or the rulers).       Naasho = destruction, extinction.
Bruhmadveshaatkulakshayah = Bruhmadveshaat +kulakshayah.
Brahmadveshaat = due to hatred towards sacred Knowledge or
Brahmins.     Kulakshayah =  decay of the race or the family

i.e.      Hatred towards  one's own self ( not maintaining a healthy
life-style ) may result in a person's death, and being inimical
towards  others  results in loss of money or wealth.     Enmity
with the King (or  the rulers)  by a person results in  his destruction,
but hatred towards "Bruhma"  (the sacred Religious knowledge of
Vedas and  Brahmins ) results in decay of the race or the entire family..
