Today's Subhashita.

आददानः प्रतिदिनं कलाः सम्यङ्महीपतिः  |
शुक्लपक्षे  प्रविचरन्शशाङ्क्   इव  वर्धते     ||  -महासुभषितसंग्रह (4682)

अर्थ -     यदि एक राजा (या शासक )अपने राज्य में  विभिन्न प्रकार के
उद्यमों  और  कलाओं के प्रशिक्षण ,उत्पादन तथा  विक्रय की  उत्तम
और नियमित  व्यवस्था   करता है  तो उसके राज्य की समृद्धि शुक्ल पक्ष
में आकाश में विचरण करने वाले चन्द्रमा के  समान दिन प्रतिदिन बढती
जाती  है  |

(ऐसा प्रतीत  होता है कि इसी सुभाषित से ही प्रेरणा ले कर हमारे प्रधान मन्त्री
जी ने 'कुशल भारत समृद्ध भारत ' तथा 'मेक  इन इण्डिया 'योजनाऐं  प्रारम्भ
की हैं  जिन  के अन्तर्गत नवयुवकों को विभिन्न प्रकार के रोजगारों के लिये
प्रशिक्षित किया जा रहा है |)

Aadadaanam pratidinam kalaah samyangmaheepatih.
Shuklapakshe pravicharanshashaanka iva vardhate.

Aadadaanah =  exchange of , receiving and giving.   Pratidinam =
daily.        Kalaah = fine arts,  skills.         Samyangmaheepatih =
Samyak + maheepatih.     Samyak = very well      Maheepatih =
the King.     Shuklapakshe =  the fortnight of the waxing Moon.
Pravicharanshashaanka = pravicharan  + shashaanka.
Pravicharan = roaming about (in the sky).   Shashaanka = the Moon.
Iva = like a.     Vardhate = grows, increases in size.

i.e.       If the  King ( or a Ruler) of a country provides the means of
training in various fine arts and other skills as also excellent facilities
for production and sale of the products, the  prosperity of the country
grows like the Moon wandering in the sky  during its waxing fortnight.

(I hope  that our Prime Minister has started the schemes called "Skill
India" and "Make in India" for empowering  the youth of India by
taking an inspiration from this Subhashita.)
