Today's Subhashita.

कः कालः कानि  मित्राणि को देशः को व्ययागमः |
कश्चाहं  का च  मे  शक्तिरिति  चिन्त्यं मुहुर्मुहुः  ||

अर्थ -     वर्तमान समय कैसा है , कौन  मेरे मित्र हैं,  मैं  किस देश
में हूं ,  मेरी आय  कितनी है और व्यय कितना है , मैं कौन  हूं  और
में कितना  शक्तिशाली और सामर्थ्यवान हूं  ,  (किसी भी कार्य को
करने से पूर्व ) इन सभी बातों के  ऊपर  बारम्बार  अच्छी तरह् विचार
कर लेना चाहिये |

Kahh kaalh kaani mitraani ko deshah ko vyayaagamah.
Kashchaaham  Kaa cha me  shaktiriti chintyam muhurmuhuh.

Kahh = what ?    Kaalah =  an era, occasion.   Kaaani = who,
how many.    Mitraani = friends.    Ko = who, which.
Deshah = a country.  Vyayaagamah = Vyaya + aagamah
Vyaya = expenditure.     Aagamah = income. . Kashchaaham =
kah + cha + aham.   Cha = and.      Aham = I .     Kaa = what.
Cha = and    Me = my.       Shaktiriti = Shakti + iti.     Shaktih =
strength, ability.     Iti = this .      Chintyam = to be considered
or to be thought .     Muhurmuhuh =  again and again.

i.e.       One should always carefully ponder over these aspects
again and again (before undertaking any work ) namely (i) what
is the present situation or  the occasion  (ii)    who are my friends
(iii) in which Country I am living, (iv) what is my income and
expenditure, (v) who  I am  and    (vi)  how much  powerful and
capable  I am ...
