Today's Subhashita.

आशातुरगमाहुर्य  नित्यं  धावति  याचकः    |
नचार्ति:  न श्रमो हास्य न गतौ नापि मन्दता || -  महासुभषितसंग्रह (5426)

भावार्थ -    आशा रूपी घोडे पर सवार हो कर भिखारी  नित्य भीख 
मांगने के लिये निकलते हैं , पर ऐसा करने में उन्हें न  तो कोई  दुःख
या कष्ट होता है, न परिश्रम करना पडता है , न उनकी हंसी उडाई
जाती है और न ही उनकी भीख में कोई कमी आती है |

Aashaturagamaahurya nityam dhaavati  yaachakah .
Nachaartih na shramo haasyam na gatau naapi mandataa.

Aashaaturagamaahurya = aashaa _ turagam +aahurya.
Aasha = hope, desire.   Turagam = a horse.    Aahurya =
by calling.    Nityam = daily.    Dhavati = runs.  Yaachakah =
a beggar.     Nachaartih = na +cha +aartih    Na = not.
Cha = and.    Aartih = grief, pain.    Shramo  = labour, toil.
Haasyam = laughter.    Gatau  = gone    Naapi = na +api.
Api = even.   Naapi = not even,    Mandataa = slowness .
dullness.

i.e.       By mounting over the horse of desires ,beggars move
out daily  for begging. In doing so they neither feel any grief or
pain, nor have they to toil hard for this and  nor  are they
laughed at for this and nor  is there any dullness in their begging
 activity.
