सुवर्णपुष्पां पृथिवीं चिन्तन्ति पुरुषास्त्रयः |
सूरश्च कृतविद्यश्च यस्य जानाति सेवितुं || संस्कृत सुभाषितानि
भावार्थ - शूरवीर, विद्वान तथा अपने जीवन का पूरा आनन्द
उठाने में समर्थ ,इन तीन प्रकार के व्यक्तियों के लिये ही यह पृथिवी
एक (सोने से बने हुए और मूल्यवान) सुवर्णपुष्प के समान आकर्षक
और आनन्ददायक है
(एक अन्य सुभाषित में भी कहा गया है कि - "वीरभोग्या वसुन्धरा ",
अर्थात इस पृथिवी का उपभोग वे ही व्यक्ति कर सकते हैं जो वीर हैं |)
Suvarnapushpaam pruthvee chantanti purushaastrayah.
Soorashcha krutavidyashcha yasya jaanaati sevitum.
Suvarnapushpaam = golden flower. Pruthiveem = this Earth.
Chintanti = consider as a . Purushaastrayah = purashaah +
trayah. Purushaah = persons. Trayah = three (types of).
Soorashcha = soorah + cha. Soorah = brave. Cha = and
Krutavidyashcha = krutavidyah + cha . Krutavidfyah =
well educated, learned. Yasya = who. Jaanati = knows.
Sevitum = to enjoy.
i.e. For three types of persons, namely brave, learned and
those who know how to enjoy life, this earth is attractive and
pleasurable like a beautiful flower crafted out of pure gold.
(There is also another Subhashita which says - 'Veerabhogyaa
Vasundhara' i.e. this Earth is ruled by and enjoyed by chivalrous
and competent men .)
