Today's Subhashita.

अणुभ्यश्च  महद्भ्यश्च शास्त्रेभ्यो कुशलो नरः  |
सर्वतः  सारमादद्द्यात्  पुष्पेभ्यः इव  षट्पदः     || -संस्कृत सुभाषितानि

भावार्थ -   विभिन्न शास्त्रों का साधारण अथवा  विशेष  ज्ञान  प्राप्त करने
के लिये बुद्धिमान् व्यक्तियों को मधुमक्खियों  के  समान आचरण करना
चाहिये जो चारों ओर्  घूम घूम कर पुष्पों से उनका सार (पराग और  मधु )
ही ग्रहण करते  हैं |

(विद्याध्ययन का क्षेत्र इतना व्यापक है कि विशेषज्ञता प्राप्त करने के लिये
बहुत कौशल , लगन और एकाग्रता की आवश्यकता होती है | इसी बात को
मधुमक्खियों द्वारा पराग और  मधु एकत्रित करने की विधि से तुलना कर
इस सुभाषित द्वारा प्रतिपादित किया गया है  | )

Anubhyashcha mahadbhyashcha shaastrebhyo kushalo narah.
Sarvatah saaramaadaddyaat  pushpebhyah iva shatpadah.


Anubhyashcha = anubhyah + cha.    Anubhyah = minute particles
Cha = and.   Mahadbhyashcha = Mahadbhyah + cha.   Mahadbhyah
=  great.    Shastrebhyo =  treatises of verious disciplines of learning
Kushalo = expert, competent.   Narah = a person.  Sarvatah = from
all sides,   Saaramaada= saaram + aadaddyaat.    Saaram = essence,
Adattyaat =should accept.   Pushpebhyah = flowers.   iva = like
shatpadah =  honey bees .

i.e.     For acquiring knowledge in various disciplines of learning, a
wise person should be very choosy like the honey bees who roam
every where among flowers and collect only pollen and nectar ,the
essence of the flowers.

(The scope of learning is so vast that to be an expert on any subject
a person has to be very  choosy and hard working. This apect has
been highlighted beautifully by the use of the Simile of honey bees
collecting only pollen and nectar of flowers.)
