Today's Subhashita.

जीवने यावदादानं स्यात् प्रदानं यत्  ततोSधिकम्  |
इत्येषा  प्रार्थनास्माकं  भगवन्परिपूर्यताम्          ||  - संस्कृत सुभाषितानि

भावार्थ -   हे परमेश्वर !    में चाहता हूं कि आजीवन मुझे जो कुछ भी
 (धन संपत्ति ) प्राप्त हो  उस से भी अधिक  में दूसरों  को (दरिद्र और
सहायता के पात्र व्यक्तियों ) देता  रहूं |  अतः आपसे प्रार्थना है कि  मेरी
यह इच्छा आप  पूर्ण कर दें |

(इस सुभाषित के माध्यम से धन का संचय मात्र  न कर उसे समाज सेवा
के कार्यों मे लगाने को प्रेरित किया गया है | )

Jeevane yaavadaadaanam syaat pradaanam yat tatodhikam.
Ityeshaa praarthanaasmaakam bhagavanparipooryataam.

Jeevane = (in my) life.   Yaavadaadaanam = Yaavat +aadanam.
Yaavat = until,upto.    Aadaanam = receiving.   Syaat = be there.
Pradaanam = giving.   Yat = that.  Tatodhikam = Tato +adhikam.
Tato = therefore.    Adhikam = more.   Ityeshaa = iti +eshaa.
Iti =  thus,    Eshaa = this.   Praarthanaasmaakam =  prarthanaa +
asmaakam.         Praarthanaa = request, prayer.       Asmaakam =my,
Bhagvanparipooryataam = Bhagvan + paripooryataam.
Bhagvan = O God Almighty !    Paripooryataam =  be fulfilled.

i.e.      O God Almighty!  it is my humble desire that whatever I
earn during my life time, I should give  (in charity)  more than that.
I, therefore pray to you to fulfil my this humble desire.

(Through this Subhashita the author has entreated people not to
hoard wealth and use it for philanthropic purposes .)
