Uttamasya kshanam kopo madhyamasya praharadvyam.
Adhamasya tvahoraatre paapishtho naiva muchyate.
Uttamasya = a person of best quality . Kshanam = momentary.
Kopo - anger. Madhyamasya = a person of middle quality.
Praharadvyam = prahar + dvyam. Prahar = 8th part of a day.
approximately 3 hours according to modern system of recording
time. Adhamasya = a person of lowest quality. Tvahoraatre =
tu + ahoratre. Tu = but. Ahoratre = one day and night .
Paapishtho = most wicked and bad person. Naiva = never
Muchyate = released, get rid of.
i.e. If persons of best quality and nature ever become angry
due to some reason, such anger is momentary. In the case of
persons of average quality the anger lasts for two 'prahars' (six
hours) and in the case of persons of low category it lasts for a
day and night (24 hours). But in the case of most wicked and
bad persons, it never leaves them (they always remain angry)..
