अलिरनुसरति परिमलं लक्ष्मिरनुसरति नय गुण समृद्धिम् |
निम्नमनुसरति सलिलं विधिलिखितं बुद्धिरनुसरति ||
भावार्थ - एक मधुमक्खी सुगन्ध से आकर्षित हो कर उसी ओर जाती
है जहां से सुगन्ध आ रही होती है | इसी प्रकार धन की अधिष्ठात्री देवी
लक्ष्मी भी बुद्धिमान, गुणवान और समृद्ध व्यक्ति का ही अनुसरण करती
है | जल अपनी वर्तमान स्थिति से सदैव नीचे की ओर ही प्रवाहित होता
है तथा मनुष्य की बुद्धि जो कुछ उसके भाग्य में लिखा हुआ होता है उसी
के अनुसार आचरण करती है |
Aliranusarati parimalam laskhmiranusarati naya guna samruddhim.
Nimnamanusarati salilam vidhilikhitam buddhiranusarati.
Aliranusarati = alih + anusarati. Alih = a bee, Anusarati = follows,
goes after. Parimalam = fragrance, scent. Lakshmiranusarati =
Lakshmih + anusarati. Lakshmi = wealth personified as the goddess
Lakshmi, Naya = wisdom. Guna = virtues, Samruddhim =
great prosperity, riches. Nimnamanusarati = nimnam + anusarati.
Nimnam = depth, low ground. Salilam = water. Vidhilikhitam =
Vidhi + likhitam. Vidhi = fate. Likhitam = delineated, written.
Buddhiranusarati = buddhih +anusarati, Buddhih = perception.
i.e. Bees follow the direction from where fragrance is coming, and
Lakshmi, the Goddess of riches, follows persons who are virtuous and
wise. Water always flows downwards from its present level , and the
intelligence and perception of a person depends upon what is destined for
him.
