Today's Subhashita.

Ushtraanaam cha vivaaheshu geetam  gaayanti gardabhaah.
Parasparam prashamsanti aho roopamaho  aho dhvanih.

Ushtraanaam = camels.   Cha = and.    Vivaaheshu = during
the marriage ceremony.   Geetam = song.    Gaayanti = singing.
Gardabhaah = donkeys.    Parasparam = mutually, each other.
Prashamsanti = praise, compliment.   Aho = Oh !  Roopamaho=
Roopa + maho.    Roopa = beauty,   Maho  = great.    Dhvanih =
voice, tone.

i.e.     If donkeys are singing songs in the marriage ceremony of
camels , they compliment each other by saying  " oh ! what a
beauty and Oh ! what  a beautiful voice"

(In this Subhashita camels  symbolise  the ugliness and donkeys
symbolize the  harsh tone.Whenever persons of diverse characteristics
are together, their association is described sarcastically in the above
manner.)

  1. Two scoundrels praise each other..because they know that they dont deserve praise..just as two corrupt unscrupulous polticians praise each other in public.
