आज का सुभाषित /Today;s Subhashita.

कस्य दोषः कुले नास्ति व्याधिना को न पीडितः |
व्यसनं  केन  न प्राप्तं  कस्य  सौख्यं  निरन्तरं  ||- महासुभषितसंग्रह(९२४१)

भावार्थ -   ऐसा कौन है जिस के कुल में कोई दोष (कलङ्क) न हो और ऐसा
कौन व्यक्ति होगा जो कभी भी व्याधियों (बीमारियों ) से पीडित नहीं होता है ?
क्या कोई ऐसा  व्यक्ति है जिस में किसी प्रकार का कोई व्यसन न हो और क्या
ऐसा भी व्यक्ति होगा जो निरन्तर (हमेशा) सुखी ही रहता है ?

(इस सुभाषित में प्रश्न पूछने के माध्यम से यह्  सत्य प्रतिपादित किया गया है
कि इस संसार में ऐसा कोई भी व्यक्ति नहीं होता है जिस के कुल में कोई दोष न
हो ,जो कभी बीमार न पडे , उसे किसी  प्रकार का व्यसन (बुरी आदत) न हो और
कभी भी  दुःख प्राप्त न हुआ हो  | )

Kasya doshah kule naasti vyadhinaa ko na peeditah,
Vyasanam kena na praaptam kasya saukhyam nirantaram.

Kasya = in whose.    Doshh = defect, shortcoming.    Kule = dynasty.
Naasti = non-existent.    Vyaadhinaa = from diseases.     Ko = who.
Na = not.    Peeditah = suffering from.    Vyasanam =  addictions.
Kena = who ?     Praaptam = acquired, gained.    Kasya = whose ?
Saukhyam = happiness, comforts.    Nirantaram =  perpetual.

i.e.     Is there any person in whose family dynasty there is no defect
or shortcoming  and who has not suffered from any disease ?  Is there
such a person who has not acquired any form of addiction in his life
and has perpetually enjoyed happiness and comforts ?

(By framing questions as above the  author of this Subhashita  wants
to assert that nobody exists in this world whose family dynasty is free
from any defects and diseases as also various addictions  and enjoys
perpetual happiness.)
