आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

अभिवादनशीलस्य  नित्यं  वृद्धोपसेविनः         |
चत्वारि तस्य वर्धन्ते आयुर्विद्या यशो बलम्  ||   -मनुमृति

भावार्थ -  जो व्यक्ति अपने गुरुजनों की नित्य सेवा सुश्रूषा
और आदर  करता है , उसकी आयु , विद्या, यश और  बल
इन चारों की सतत वृद्धि होती है |

Abhivaadanasheelasya nityam vruddhopasevinah.
Chatvaari tasya vardhante  aayurvidyaa yasho balam..

Abhivaadansheelasya = a person respectful towards his
elders and teachers.         .   Nityam = always, daily.
Vruddhopasevinah = honouring the aged.   Chatvaari=
these four.   Tasya = his.   Vardhante = grow, increase.
Ayu = life expentancy.   Vidya = knowledge.
fame.   Balam = power, strength.

i.e.      A person who is respectful towards his elders and
teachers and always serves them with dedication, there is
continuous increase in these four aspects of his life, namely
longevity, knowledge, fame and power.
