आज 'मेघान्योक्ति' का एक उदाहरण प्रस्तुत है जिस में दिनांक १९ जून २०१७ को
प्रस्तुत 'चातकान्योक्ति' का भी संदर्भ लें :-
मुञ्चमुञ्च सलिलं दयानिधे नास्तिनास्ति समयो विलम्बने |
अद्य चातककुले मृते पुनर्वारि वारिधर किं करिष्यसि || - (स्फुट )
भावार्थ - हे दयानिधान मेघ (बादल) ! अपना जल तुरन्त बरसाओ क्योंकि
यह समय विलम्ब (देरी) करने का नहीं है | आज यदि चातक पक्षियों का
समुदाय प्यास के कारण मृत हो जायेगा तो बाद में तुम्हारे द्वारा जल बरसाने
से क्या लाभ होगा ?/
(जैसा 'चातकान्योक्ति ' में कहा गया था कि चातक पक्षी एक विशेष नक्षत्र में
हुई वृष्टि का ही जल पीता है अन्यथा प्यासा ही रह जाता है , इस सुभाषित में उसी
भावना का अवलम्बन ले कर मेघ से वृष्टि करने का अनुरोध किया गया है | कहा
भी गया है कि - 'का वर्षा जब कृषी सुखानी |समय चुके पुनि का पछतानी ' - अर्थात
यदि समय पर वर्षा न हो और खेती सूख जाय तो बाद में ऐसी वर्षा से क्या लाभ ?
इसी भावना को इस 'मेघान्योक्ति 'के माध्यम से व्यक्त किया गया है | )
Muncha-muncha salilam dayanidhe naasti-naasti samayo vilambane.
Adya chaatak-kule mrute punarvaari vaaridhar kim karishyasi.
Muncha = release, let go. Salilam = water. Dayanidhe = a treasury of
mercy, a very kind person , treasury of mercy. Naasti = it is not.
Samayo = time, occasion. Vilambane = delay. Adya = today.
Chaatak-kule = the community of 'chaatak' birds. Mrute = dead.
Punarvaaari =punah + vaari. Punah = again . Vaari = water.
Vaaridhara = a cloud. Kim = what ? Karishyasi = will do .
i.e. O very kind cloud ! bestow us with your rain immediately, as
this is not the time for delaying it. If today the community of 'Chaatak'
birds die for want of water, of what use will be the rain poured by you
afterwards.
(On the 19th June 2012 a Subhashita classified as 'Chaatakaanyokti' was
posted by me. This Subhashita is in furtherance of the same idea and says
that of what use will be the rain afterwards if the 'chatakas' die due to
thirst ? When applied to agriculture, the truth behind this Subhashita is
more apparent , because untimely rain is of no use.)
