आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

कंसारिचरणोद्भूत सिन्धुकल्लोल लालितं  |
मन्ये हंस मनो नीरे कुल्यानां रमते न ते   || - शार्ङ्गधर

भावार्थ -  मेरी यही धारणा है कि राजा कंस के शत्रु भगवान श्रीकृष्ण
के चरकणमलों का प्रक्षालन करने वाली समुद्र की लहरों में विहार
करने  वाले  हंसों  को  एक अप्राकृतिक  नदी या नहर में रहना कभी
भी अच्छा नहीं लगता है |

(  यह सुभाषित 'हंसान्योक्ति' शीर्षक से संकलित है | लाक्षणिक  रूप
से इस का तात्पर्य  यह्  है कि सभी प्राणी अपने स्वभाव के अनुकूल
वातावरण में ही निवास करना पसंद करते हैं |)

Kansaari-charanodbhoota-sindhu-kallola-laalitam.
Manye hansa mano neere kulyaanaam ramate na te.

Kansari = the enemy of King Kansa i.e. Lord Krishna.
Charanodbhoota = charana + udbhoot.    Charana =feet.
Udbhoota = raised, born.   Sindhu = ocean.    Kallola =
waves.     Laaalitam = caressed .    Manye = I think.
Hansa = a swan.   Mano = thought.   Neere = water.
Kulyaanaam = canals or artificial  rivers.   Ramate =
like to stay.   Na = not.   Te = they.

i.e.     It is my belief that swans ,who relish floating in
the waves of the Ocean caressing the feet of Lord Krishna.
will never like to live in an artificial canal or a lake.

(This subhashita is also an 'Anyokti'  classified  as a
"hansaanyokti" i.e. an allegory on a Swan.  The idea behind
it is that all living beings like to live in an environment which
suits their nature and the way of their living.)
