संतुष्टो भार्यया भर्ता भर्त्रा भार्या तथैव च |
यस्मिन्नेव कुले नित्यं कल्याणं तत्र वैध्रुवम् ||

भावार्थ - जिस परिवार में पति -पत्नी दोनों एक दूसरे से संतुष्ट
और प्रसन्न रहते हैं वहां सदैव मंगल ही मंगल रहता है |
(सुखमय वैवाहिक जीवन के लिये पति-पत्नी के बीच में एक दूसरे के
प्रति प्रेम और विश्वास की आवश्यकता को इस सुभाषित के द्वारा
प्रतिपादित किया गया है | )
Santushto bhaaryayaa bhartaa bhartraa bhaaryaa tathaiva cha.
Yasminneva kule nityam kalyaanam tatra vaidhruvam.
Santushto = satisfied, gratified. Bharyayaa = from the wife.
Bhartaa = husband. Tathaiva = similarly. Cha =and.
yasminneva = yasmh in +eva. Yasmin =whichever Eva=thus.
Kule = family dynasty. Nityam = always. Kalyaanam =
welfare. Tatra = there. Vaidhruvam = certainly.
i.e. In a family where both the wife and husband are gratified
and happy in the company of each other, certainly there is always
prosperity and welfare in the household.
(Mutual love and faith as a pre-requisite of a happy married life
has been propagated in the above Subhashita. )
