Majjvatvambhasi yaatu merushikharam shatroonjayatvaavahe.
Vaanijyam krushi-sevanaadi-sakalaa vidyaah kalaah shikshatu.

i.e. In this world one may endeavour to dive deep into the Ocean, climb
the peak of the Meru Mountain, conquer his enemies, undertake commercial
and agricultural activities, provide various services, learn and teach various
disciplines of learning and arts, wander in the sky like a bird. But all the
endeavours made by him to achieve these objectives are not successful if the
destiny is not in his favour. Then, how can the destiny be destroyed ?
(The inference is that destiny is supreme and all the wealth and valour are
ineffective against it.)
