आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhshita.

धूलिधूसर  सर्वाङ्गो  विकसद्दन्तकेसरः  |
आस्ते कस्याSपि  धन्यस्य द्वारि दन्ती गृहेSर्भकः  ||
                                 - सुभाषित रत्नाकर (कल्पतरु )

भावार्थ -   वह व्यक्ति कितना सौभाग्यशाली है जिस के घर के
दरवाजे पर एक छोटे छोटे दांतों और घुंघराले बालों वाला और
धूल से सना हुआ एक सुन्दर बालक खेल रहा हो |

(इसी भावना को गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी ने अपने एक पद में
इस प्रकार व्यक्त किया है -  "ठुमकि चलत रामचन्द्र बाजत
पैंजनिया |   किलकि  किलकि  उठत धाय  गिरत भूमि लटपटाय |
धाय मातु गोद लेत दशरथ की रनियां  |  अञ्चल रज अङ्ग झाडि
विविध  भांति सो दुलारि | तन मन धन वारि वारि कहत मृदु
वचनियां - (आदि ). सचमुच वह  व्यक्ति   धन्य है जिसे  इस प्रकार
की 'बालालीला ' को देखने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त होता है | )

Dhoolidhoosar sarvaango vikasaddantakesarah,
Aaste kasyaapi dhanyasya dvaari dantee gruherbhakah.

Dhoolisara = covered with dust.    Sarvaango - the entire body.
Vikasaddantkesarah = vikasat + dant +kesarah.        Vikasat =
expanding.   Danta = teeth.    Kesarah =hairs, mane.    Aaste=
makes one's abode., celebrates.    Kasyaapi = kasya + api.
Kasyaa= whose.     Api =  even.       Dhanyasya = a virtuous
person's    Dvaare = in front  of the door.    Dantee = tooth.
Gruherbhakah = Gruhe + arbhakah.    Gruhe= at the residence.
Arbhakah = a child.

i.e.      Blessed is the person at whose door steps a small child
having few little teeth , curled hairs and covered with dust
is playing.

(The above Subhashita describes the joy of the parents of a small
child playing at the courtyard of their residence , and says that how
blessed they are.   This joy has been described in detail by the poet
Tulasidas in a poem titled "Thumaki chalat Ramchandra  baajat
paijaniyaa."  in praise of Lord Ramchandra.)
