आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

             अराजकताया  अनर्थाः

नाराजके जनपदे विद्युन्माली  महास्वनः  |
अभिवर्षति  पर्जन्यो महीं दिव्येन  वारिणा  ||अ

भावार्थ -   जिस देश या राज्य में सर्वत्र अराजकता (न्याय
पूर्ण शासन व्यवस्था का अभाव ) व्याप्त होती है वहां पर
आकाशीय विद्युत से युक्त और गरजते  हुए  बादल पृथ्वी
पर जल की दिव्य  वृष्टि नहीं करते हैं (अर्थात अति बृष्टि,
अनावृष्टि या असमय पर वृष्टि के द्वारा  हानि ही अधिक
करते हैं )||

(प्रस्तुत सुभाषित  संस्कृत की  पाठ्यपुस्तक के एक पाठ से
लिया गया है जिस का शीर्षक है "अराजकताया अनर्थाः " |
यदि हम वर्तमान मौसम पर दृष्टिपात करें तो इस समय देश
में असमय अतिवृष्टि, आंधी , तूफान आदि से सर्वत्र  जनधन
की हानि हो रही है , जिसे ऋतु विपर्यय कहा जाता है | शास्त्रों
मे इस का  मुख्य कारण राजा (शासक) की अकर्मण्यता  तथा
राजधर्म का अनुपालन न करना कहा गया है |  इस पाठ के अन्य
श्लोक मैं आगामी कुछ दिनों तक प्रस्तुत करता रहूंगा  |)

Naaraajake  janapade Vidyunmaalee  Mahaasvanah.
Abhivarshati parjanyo  maheem  divyena vaainaa,

Na - not.    Arajake = anarchic.   Janapade = country.
Vidyumaali =  laced with lightning.   Mahaasvanah =
making loud rumbling sound.   Abhivarshati = rains
all alround.   Parjanyo = clouds.   Maheem = the Earth.
Divyena = divine, heavenly.   Vaarinaa = with water.

i.e.      In an anarchic Country ,the clouds  laced with
lightening and making loud rumbling sound, do not
bestow the Earth  the divine and life giving rain.

(The above Subhashita has been taken from a text book
of Sanskrit from a chapter titled  'Disastrous consequences
of anarchy" ,   If we look at the sudden climatic change,
as a result  of which we are having very heavy rain, dust
storms,and floods throughout the Country,which has caused
heavy loss of life, the truth behind this Subhashita is apparent.
Our Shaastras assign the cause of this quirk of weather to the
absence or lack of governance by the King. I will be posting
the remaining shlokas  daily during the next few days.)
