आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

कालः  पचति  भूतानि  कालः  संहरते  प्रजाः |
कालः  सुप्तेषु  जागर्ति  कालो  हि  दुरतिक्रमः ||
                                   - चाणक्य नीति (६/७ )

भावार्थ -  इस संसार में सभी जीवित प्राणियों को काल अपना
ग्रास बना लेता है (उनकी मृत्यु हो जाती है ) और काल ही किसी
देश की प्रजा को  भी नष्ट कर देता है  और काल के ही प्रभाव  से 
(परिस्थिति वश ) एक निष्क्रिय  व्यक्ति भी सक्रिय हो  जाता है | 
निश्चय ही काल को कोई भी अपने वश में नहीं कर सकता है |

Kaalah  pachati  bhootaani  kaalah  smharate  prajaah.
Kaalah supteshu  jaagarti  kaalo  hi  duratikramah,
of
Kaalah = Time, era.   Pachati = digests, matures and
brings to an end.   Bhootaani = all living beings .
Smharate =  destroys    Prajaah = mankind.   Supteshu=
someone fallen asleep, inactive.   Jaagarti =  be awake.
Hi = surely.   Duratikramah = insurmountable (that can
not be overcome or got over.

i.e.    It is the passage of time which ultimately brings to
an end all  the living beings on the Earth and also untimely
kills the citizens of a country.  An inactive person awakens
and becomes very active if  the time is favourable to him.
Definitely the time is insurmountable.
