Today's subhashita.

Na = not.    Pashyati = sees.      Cha = and.          Janmaandhah=
a person born blind.    Kaamandho = blind with lust.  Naiva = no.
Madonmattaa = intoxicated with pride or passion, inebriated.
Arthee = one who wants or desires anything ardently.   Dosham =
defects, shortcomings.

i.e.     Just as a person born blind is unable to see any thing, so also
a person overpowered by lust is unable to see its consequences, and
a person intoxicated by pride or inebriated with liquor, is also unable
to see the after effect of  his action.  Similarly a person who ardently
desires any thing is unable to see the defects in that thing.

    1. Thanks for showing interest in Sanskrit language. You can use the text books prescribed by NCERT for learning Sanskrit in schools. Besides, there are many websites which provide help in learning Sanskrit, even through English medium.
As regards the meaning of the lines mentioned by you,it appears that they are from different shlokas. 'Rathasyekam;;;;;;chakram' means there is one chariot with only one wheel. Praapya......nopakaarena' means that a job taken in hand is accomplished is quickly accomplished by the help provided by great and noble persons. Yours faithfully, M.C>Joshi
