आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

शुद्धं  भूमिगतं  तोयं  शुद्धा  नारी  पतिवृता    |
शुचिः क्षेम करो  राजा  सन्तोषो  ब्राह्मणः शुचिः  ||
                                     - चाणक्य नीति ( ८/१७ )

भावार्थ -  भूमिगत (पृथ्वी के अन्दर गहराई मे एकत्रित ) जल
शुद्ध होता है और वैसे ही एक गुणवान तथा अपने पति के प्रति
समर्पित स्त्री भी शुद्ध (पवित्र) होती है |  अपनी  प्रजा की भलाई
तथा सुरक्षा करने में सदैव तत्पर राजा (या शासक) तथा सन्तोषी
स्वभाव के ब्राह्मण भी  गुणवान तथा पवित्र विचारोंवाले होते
हैं |

Shuddham bhoomigatam toyam shuddhaa naari pativrutaa.
Shuchih ksheemakaro Raja santosho braahmanah shuchih.

Shuddham = pure . Bhoomigatam = underground,   Toyam =
water.    Naaree =a woman.  Pativrutaa = a virtuous woman
loyal to her husband.    Shuchih = virtuous and pure
Kshemakaro=conferring peace, security and happiness  to the
citizens.  Raajaa = a King or a Ruler of a country.  Santosho =
contentedness   Brahmanah = a Brahmin or a Priest.

i.e.   Underground water is always pure and so also a virtuous
woman loyal to her husband .  A king or a Ruler who is very
much concerned about the welfare and security of the citizens,
and a Brahmin who is by nature contented are always virtuous
and with pure thoughts.
