आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

माता  च  कमला  देवी  पिता  देवो  जनार्दनः   |
बान्धवा  विष्णुभक्ताश्च  स्वदेशो  भुवनत्रयं   |
                                - चाणक्य नीति (१०/१४)

भावार्थ -   मेरे लिये तो मेरी माता देवी महालक्ष्मी के समान है
और मेरे पिता  जी  भगवान  विष्णु के समान हैं | इसी  क्रम में
मेरे निकट सम्बन्धी भी मेरे लिये विष्णु भगवान के भक्तों के
समान हैं तथा मेरा देश मेरे लिये त्रिभुवन  (पृथ्वी, पितृलोक,
और देवलोक ) के समान है |

(इस सुभाषित के द्वारा यह शिक्षा दी गई है कि हमें  अपने माता
पिता, निकट सम्बन्धियों   तथा जिस देश में हम रहते हैं इन सब
के प्रति कैसा व्यवहार करना चाहिये  | )

Maataa  cha  Kamala Devi  pita  devo  Janardanah.
Baandhavaa  Vishnubhaktaascha svadesho bhuvanatrayam.

Maataa- mother.   Cha = and.   Kamalaa Devi = goddess
Lakshmi.    Pitaa - father.   Devo =  God.   Janaardanah = a
name of the God Vishnu .     Baandhavaa = close relatives.
Vishnubhaktaashcha = Vishnou+ bhaktaah +  cha.   Bhaktaah=
worshippers. devotees.   Svadesho = one's  own country.
Bhuvanatraya = The three Worlds i.e. the physical world in
which we live,  the world of our ancestors, and the light filled
world of the Gods.

i,e,   To me my mother is like the Goddess Mahalakshmi and my
father is like God Vishnu (the consort of Goddess Mahalakshmi),
my close relatives are like the devotees of  God Vishnu, and the
country where I live is like  the three Worlds ( the Earth, the World
of our ancestors and the World of Gods).

(This Subhashita teaches us that we should treat with respect our
parents ,close  relatives and the World we live in.)
