आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

विनयं  राजपुत्रेभ्यः  पण्डितेभ्यः  सुभाषितम्   |
अनृतं  द्यूतकारेभ्यः  स्त्रीभ्यः शिक्षेत  कैतवं  ||
                                  - चाणक्य नीति (१२/१८ )

भावार्थ -    राजपुत्रों को इस प्रकार शिक्षित करना चाहिये  कि  वे
जनता से  नम्रता पूर्वक  व्यवहार करें  |  विद्वान व्यक्तियों की
वाणीं शिक्षाप्रद और  मधुर  होनी चाहिये |  द्यूतकारों (जुआ खेलने
वाले) का स्वभाव झूठ बोल कर एक दूसरे को ठगने का होता है
तथा स्त्रियों को भी (केवल आमोद प्रमोदके लिये)  द्यूतक्रीडा सीखनी
चाहिये |

(वर्तमान संदर्भ में हम देखते हैं कि राजनेताओं की संताने अपने
को सर्वसमर्थ और न्याय व्यवस्था के आधीन न मान कर  जनता
से दुर्व्यवहार करते हैं जिस का बहुत ही बुरा परिणाम हो रहा है |)

 Vinayam  raajaputrebhyah  panditebhyeh  subhaashitam.
Anrtam  dyootakaarebhyah  streebhyah shikshet  kaitavam.

Vinayam = humility.   Raajaputrebhyah= priences.  king's
sons/         Panditebhyah = wise and scholarly persons.
Subhashitam = witty and eloquent speech.       Anrutam =
cheating, lying.                  Dyootakaarebhyah = gamblers.
Streebhyah = for women,    Shikshet= educated, trained in
Kaitavam =  gambling .

i.e.    The sons of Kings should be educated and trained in such
a way that they behave with their  subjects with humility.  Wise
and Scholarly  persons' speech should always be  eloquent and
educative.  By nature the gamblers' attitude is lying and cheating
others.  Women should get themselves trained in gambling (but
for entertainment and fun) .

(In the present context it is observed that the sons and relatives of
politicians consider themselves above the law and behave very rudely
with the general public  and at times create  serious law and order
problems.)
