आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

आत्मापराधवृक्षस्य  फलान्येतानि  देहिनाम्  |
दारिद्र्यदुःखरोगाणि  बन्धनव्यसनानि  च     |
                                - चाणक्य नीति (१४/२)|

भावार्थ -   किसी मनुष्य द्वारा स्वयं किये गये अपराध रूपी वृक्ष
में  अन्ततः जो फल लगते हैं  वे  हैं दरिद्रता ,दुःख, विभिन्न प्रकार
के रोग, बुरे व्यसन, तथा कारागार में बन्दी बना दिया जाना |

(इस सुभाषित में मनुष्य द्वारा किये गये कर्मों की तुलना वृक्षारोपण
से की गयी है और उनका  परिणाम उन वृक्षों के फलों के रूप में व्यक्त
किया गया  है |  अच्छे कर्मों  का परिणाम सुख और शान्ति के रूप में
 होता है और बुरे कर्मों का परिणाम सदैव बुरा ही होता है | एक कहावत
भी है कि -  'बोया पेड बबूल का आम कहां ते खाय "  |

Aatmaaparaadha-vrukshasya  phalaanyetaani  Dehinaam.
Daaridrya-duhkha-rogaani  Bandhana-vyasanaani  cha.

Aatmaaparaadha+vrukshasya.    Aatmaaparaadha = one's
own offences.   Vrukshasya= tree's    Phaalaani+ etaani.
Phalaani = fruits, end results.   Etaaani = these.   Dehinaam=
Man, living beings.   Daaridrya poverty.   Duhkha = sorrow,
miseries.   Rogaani = diseases.    Bandhana = imprisonmnt.
Vyasanaani = various types of addictions.   Cha = and.

i,e      The tree of offences done by a person himself ultimately
produces fruits in the form of poverty, miseries, various diseases,
imprisonment and various addictions.

(In this Subhashita the deeds done by a person have been compared
to planting of trees and their results to the fruits produced by the trees.
Good deeds done ultimately result in happiness and welfare whereas
wrong doings result in miseries, diseases etc.     This is the message
conveyed by this Subhashita, )
