Atyaasanna vinaashaaya doorasthaa na phalapradaa.
Sevataam madhyabhaavena raajaa vahnirguruh striyam.
Ati + aasaanna. Ati = too much. Asannaa= proximate.
Vinaashaaya =causing ruin. Doorasthaa=remaining aloof.
Na = not. Phalaprada = fruitful, producing favourable
result. Sevataam = should serve. Madhyabhaaavena =
keeping a moderate distance. Raajaa = a King, a Ruler.
Vahnih + guruh. Vahnih = fire. Guruh = a Teacher.
Strium = women.
i.e. Too much proximity with a King (Ruler of a Country),
a raging fire, a Guru (Teacher), and women folk is always
ruinous, and remaining aloof from them is also not fruitful.
Therefore, it is advisable that we should serve these four by
maintaining a moderate distance (neither too close nor too far)
from them.
