आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

यथा  धेनु  सहस्रेषु  वत्सो गच्छति  मातरम्  |
तथा  यच्च  कृतं  कर्म  कर्तारमनुगच्छति     ||
                               - चाणक्य नीति (१३/१५)

भावार्थ -   जिस प्रकार हजारों गायों के एक समूह में  उनके
बछडे  अपनी अपनी अपनी माताओं को ढूढ कर उनके पास
चले जाते हैं ,उसी प्रकार किसी व्यक्ति द्वारा किये  गये कर्म
भी  उस के पीछे पीछे उस का अनुसरण करते हैं , अर्थात उन
किये गये अच्छे या बुरे कर्मों के परिणाम उसी को  ही भोगने
पडते हैं |

Yathaa  dhenu  sahasreshu  vatso  gacchati  maataram.
Tathaa yaccha  krutam  karmam  kartaaramanugacchati.

Yathaa = for instance.   Dhenu =  cow.   Sahasreshu =
in thousands.    Vatso = calf of a cow.    Gacchati =goes.
Maataram = mother.   Tathaa = in the same manner.
Yaccha = yat +cha.    Yat=  that.    Cha = and.    Krutam=
done.    Karma = action.   Kartaaram+ anugacchati.
Kartaram=  doer.     Anugacchati = accompany, follows.

i.e.       For instance in a herd of thousands of cows their
calves recognise their respective mothers and then follow
them, in the same manner the deeds done by a person also 
follow him thereby implying that ultimately he has to face
the consequences of good or bad deeds done by him.
