षट् दोषाः पुरुषेणेह हातव्या भूतिमिच्छता |
निद्रा तन्द्रा भयं क्रोधः आसस्यं दीर्घसूत्रता ||
अर्थ - इस संसार में पुरुषों में अति निद्रा, थकावट , भयभीत
रहना, क्रोध, आलस्य तथा अत्यन्त देरी से कार्यों को करना, ये
छः दोष पाये जाते हैं जिन्हे अपना भला चाहने वालों को प्रयत्न
पूर्वक दूर करना चाहिये |

Nidraa tandraa bhayam krodhh aalasyam deerghasootrataa.
Shat = six. Doshaah = defects, deficiencies. Purushenaha =
pureshan + iha. Purushen = among men. Iha = in this
world. Haatavyaa = to be renounced or abandoned..
Bhootimicchatsaa = bhootim +icchataa. Bhootim = well being,
prosperity. Icchataaa = desire, wishfullness. Nidraa = sleep.
Tandra = fatigue.drousiness. Bhayam = fear. Krodhah = anger.
Aalasyam = laziness. Deerghasootrataa = procrastination,
dilatoriness.
i.e. Six deficiencies are found in men in this world, namely
fondness for sleeping, always feeling fatigued, fearfulness, anger,
laziness and dilatory tactics in performing a task, which should be
renounced by those who desire their well being and prosperity.
