To day's Subhashit.

kim chitram yadi raajjniti kushalo taaja bhaweddharmikah
kim chitram yadi vedashaastra nipuno vipro bhaweddharmikah
tacchitram yadi roop youwanvatee saadhwee bhawetkaaminee
tacchiram yadi nirdayopi purushh paapam na kuryaatquachit.

There is no reason to be surprised at if  a King expert in statesmanship is also religious ,and a brahmin well versed in Vedaa and shashtras is also a Scholar,  It is of course surprising if a young and beautiful woman proud of her youth and beauty is also religiously inclined and pious, and a very cruel person does not ever commit sins.

Kim=  why.      Chitram = surprise.          Raajneeti = statesmanship.      Dhaarmika = religiously inclined
Ved Shaastra = religious texts of Hindus codifying their religion.   Pandit = A scholar     Tat =then
Kaamini = a woman.     Roop-yoywanvati = young and beautiful.   Nirdaya = cruel.    Paap = sin
