Abhyaasaaddharyate vidyaa kulaam sheelena dhaaryate.
Gunairmitraani dhaaryante akshnam krodhashcha dhaaryate.

i.e.        One can retain the knowledge gained by him through regular
practice (recapitulation), and the name and fame of a dynasty is retained
by the righteous and kind behaviour of its members.   Likewise, friendship
among persons is permanent if they are talented and virtuous., and anger
can be controlled if the person concerned is prevalent .

(Another subhashita  extolling the virtue of regular practice says -'Anabhyase
Visham Shaastram "  i.e., the knowledge already acquired becomes harmful
like a poison , if it is  not updated and practised regularly.)

religion practised by Hindus) .

the doctor becomes his  guardian or a protector.
