Today's Subhashita.

आपदर्थे    धनं   रक्षेद्वारन्रक्षेद्धनैरपि |
आत्मानं सततं रक्षेद्वारैरपि धनैरपि ||

अर्थ -    एक  बुद्धिमान् व्यक्ति को अचानक  उपस्थित होने वाली  आपदाओं से सुरक्षा हेतु धन संपत्ति बचा कर रख्रनी चाहिये तथा अपने घर के द्वार की रक्षा का भी प्रबन्ध करना चाहिये |  परन्तु  अपनी स्वयं की सुरक्षा  सदैव धन संपत्ति और भवन की सुरक्षा से भी अधिक करनी चाहिये |

Aatmaanam satatam rakshedvaarairapi dhanairapi.

Aapadarthe  = aapat + arthe.      Aapat = misfortune, calamity.    Arthe = for the sake of.  
Dhanam = wealth, money.   Rakshedvaaranrakshedddhanairapi = rakshed +dvaarm +rakshed +dhanaih +api.     Rakshed =  save, protect.    Dvaaram = door., entrance of a house.    Dhanaih = wealth.
Api = even, too.       Aatmaanam =  one's own self.        Satatam =  continuously.
Rakshedvaarairapi = rakshed +dvaareh + api.     Dhanairapi = dhanaih+api.

i.e.      A  wise person should save money as a protection against some misfortune or a contingency and also ensure proper protection of the entrance of his house.  However, he should ensure continuous protection to himself even more than his house and  his wealth.
