Today's Subhashita.

Ekopi gunavaan putro nirgunaih kim shaten taih/
Ekashchandro jagachchakshurnakshatraih kim prayojanam.

Ekopi =  eko + api.    Eko = one.     Api = even.    Gunavaan = virtuous, talented.
Putro son.     Nirgunaih = without any virtues.    Kim = what.    Shaten = one hundred.
Taih =  they.     Ekashchandro = ekah +chandro.    Ekah = one.   Chandro = the Moon.
Jagacchchakshurnakshatraih = Jagat +chakshuh +nakshatraih.    Jagat = this world.
Chakshuh = eye.    Nakshatraih = constellation of stars in the sky.    Prayojanam = need, point.

i.e.      It is preferable to have only one virtuous and talented son rather having oe hundred sons without any virtues, just as a single Moon like an eye of this Universe is able to brighten the Sky. So where is the need of hundreds of stats in comparison to the Moon ?
