उपविष्ट: सभामध्ये यो न वक्ति स्फुटं वचः |
तस्माद्दूरेण स त्याज्यो न यो वा कीर्तयेदृतः ||- महासुभषितसंग्रह
भावार्थ - किसी सभा के मध्य मे जो व्यक्ति अपने विचार
निश्चित ओर स्पष्ट रूप से व्यक्त नहीं करता है , ऐसे व्यक्ति को
उस सभा से वहिष्कृत कर हटा देना चाहिये तथा उसका महिमा
मण्डन और आदर भी नहीं करना चाहिये |
( वर्तमान समय में सामाजिक संस्थाओं तथा विधान सभाओं में
उपर्युक्त सुभाषित में वर्णित व्यक्तियों का ही बोलबाला है जिसके
परिणाम स्वरूप समाज और प्रशासन की अपूरणीय क्षति हो रही है |)
Upavishta sabhaamadhye yo na vakti sphutam vachah.
Tasmaaddorena sa tyaajyo na yo vaa keertayeddrutah.
Upavisht = sitting, arrived at. Sabhaamadhye= in an
assembly or a society. Yo = whosoever. Na = not.
Vakti = speaks. Sphutam =clear and certain. Vachah =
speeking. Tasmaaaddoorena = tasmat + doorena.
Tasmaat = therefore. Doorena = from afar. Sa = he.
Tyaajyo = to be abandoned or left out. Na = not.
Vaaa = and. Keertayeddrutah = keertayet + drutah.
Keertayet = praised, glorified, Drutah = honoured.
i.e. If in an assembly a person does not express his
opinion clearly and with certainty, he should not be allowed
to participate in it and should also not be glorified and
honoured.
( Now a days persons mentioned in the above Subhashita
are in majority in various assemblies and societies which
has caused much harm to the social structure and the
administration.)

very good subhashit. as soon as I read it, many MLAs and MPs came before my mind. What a keen observation of the subhashitakar. 2. Sir, when you write the meaning, you write the words in Roman or English script. can you please write Sanskrit words in Devnagari.
