आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

एकचक्रो  रथो  यन्ता  विकलो  विषमा  हयाः |
आक्रमत्येव तेजस्वी तथाप्यर्को  नभस्थलम्  ||
                      - सुभाषित रत्नाकर (कल्पतरु )

भावार्थ -   सूर्य के  रथ  में यद्दपि एक ही पहिया है , सारथी
अरुण भी विकलांग है , और रथ को खींचने वाले घोडों की 
संख्या भी विषम (सात) है , फिर भी सूर्य आकाश में सतत
भ्रमण कर अपने तेज से समस्त विश्व को जीवनदायी प्रकाश
प्रदान करता है |

पुराणों में वर्णित उपर्युक्त मिथक को एक रूपक  के रूप में
प्रयुक्त कर यह प्रतिपादित किया गया है कि तेजस्वी व्यक्ति
अनेक विघ्न बाधाओं के होते हुए भी अपने कर्तव्य पर अडिग
रहते हैं |)

Eka-chakro ratho yantaa  vikalo  vishamaa  hayaah .
aakramatyeva tejasvee tathaapyarko  nabhasthalam.

Eka = one.   Chakro = a wheel.   Ratho = a chariot.
Yantaa = driver of the chariot.   Vikalo =  imperfect,
crippled.    Vishamaa = odd in numbers.    Hayaah =
horses.    Aakramatyeva = aakramati+aiva.
Akramati = approaches.   Aiva = really.   Tejasvee =
powerful, vibrant.   Tathaapyarko = tathaapi + arko.
Tathaapi=even then.   Arko=the Sun.   Nabhasthalam=
the sky, firmament.

i.e.          Although the Sun has only one wheel on his
chariot, the driver of the chariot is also  crippled and the
horses pulling the chariot are also odd in number (7), still
the  powerful and brilliant Sun constantly moves around
the sky to provide life sustaining energy to the World.

(This Subhashita is in praise of powerful and brilliant
persons, who shape the lives of  citizens by their deeds,
using the movement of the Sun in the firmament as a
Simile. Such persons are not deterred by the problems
and difficulties faced by them in doing their duty. )

Govind Prasad Bahuguna रथस्यैकं चक्रं भुजगयमिताः सप्ततुरगाः 
निरालंबो मार्गश्चरणविकलो सारथिरपि। रविर्यात्यंतं प्रतिदिनमपारस्य नभसः क्रियासिद्धिः सत्त्वे भवति महतां नोपकरणे॥-प्रति दिन सूरज अनंत आकाश में सिर्फ एक पहिये के सहारे अपने रथ को लेकर इधर से उधर यात्रा करता है, उसके रथ पर सात घोड़े बिना किसी रस्सी के जुते हैं , उसके रथ का सारथी भी विकलांग है और मार्ग ऐसा है जिसका कोई आधार ही नहीं है -आकाश मार्ग पर यात्रा करता है I ठीक ही कहा है कि महापुरुषों की पुरुषार्थी गतिविधियां केवल साधनों पर आधारित नहीं होती, साधनों की बात तो साधारण लोग ही करते हैं |
