आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita .

कुत आगत्य घटते विघट्य क्व नु याति च  |
न लक्ष्यते गतिः सम्यग्घनस्य च धनस्य च ||
                          - सुभाषित रत्नाकर (स्फुट)

भावार्थ -   बादलों और धन-संपति के विषय  में कि  वे कहां से आते
हैं और आने के पश्चात फिर कहां  चले जाते हैं , तथा उनके आने तथा
जाने  की गति  का सही अनुमान  कभी भी नहीं लगाया जा सकता है |

धनसंचय तथा उसे बनाये रखने की समस्या को धन की  तुलना बादलों
के आने और जाने तथा वृष्टि होने की अनिश्चितता से कर प्रभावी रूप
से व्यक्त किया गया है | )

Kuta aagatya ghatate vighatya kva nu yaati cha.
Na laksahyate gatih samyag-ghanasya cha dhanasya cha.

Kuta = from where.    Aagatya = having come.     Ghate =
happens.     Vighatya = after happening.       Kva = where.
Nu = a prefix to emphasise.    Yaati = go.        Cha = and.
Na = not.        Lakshyate = appears.          Gatih = speed. 
Samyagghanasya = samyak + ghanasya. Samyak =exactly,
correctly.   Ghanasya =of a cloud.   Cha =and.  Dhanasya=
of the wealth.

i.e.          No body can correctly guess as to from where the
clouds and wealth will come and after having come where
they will go.  Further , the speed at which they will come and
go is also uncertain.

(The above Subhashita compares acquisition of wealth with the
behaviour of clouds and says that both are unpredictable. )
