ज्ञानमन्त्रसदाचारैर्गौरवं भजते गुरुः |
तस्माच्छिष्य: क्षमीभूत्वा गुरुवाक्यं न लङ्घयेत् ||

भावार्थ- एक शिष्य का यह परम् कर्तव्य है कि वह अपने गुरु का
आदर अपने अच्छे आचरण द्वारा सम्मान प्रकट करते हुए करे |
इसी लिये उसे धैर्यपूर्वक कभी भी अपने गुरु द्वारा दी गयी आज्ञा
का उल्लंघन नहीं करना चाहिये |
Gyaaanmantrsadaacharairgauraavam bhajate Guruh,
Tasmacchishyah kshameebhootvaa Guruvaakyam na
langhayet.
Gyaana + mantra+ sadaachaaraih +gauravam. Gyaana= Knowledge
Mantra = consultation. Sadaachaaraiha = good manners. Gauravam=
dignity, admiration. Bhajate = revere, give respect. Gurum = teacher.
Tasmaacchishyah=tasmaat +shishyah. Tasmaat =therefore. Shishyah=
a student. Kshmeebhootvaa =kshmee +bhootvaa. Kshami= patience,
endurance. Bhootvaa = by becoming. Guruvaakyam = commands or
instructions of the Teacher. Na = not. Langhayet = go beyond or
against.
i.e. It is the duty of a student that he should revere his Guru (teacher)
intelligently with good manners and admiration. Therefore, he should be
very patient and never go beyond or against the instructions given by his
Guru.
