आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

 ते  पुत्रा  ये  पितुर्भक्ताः  स  पिता  यस्तु  पोषकः  |
तन्मित्रं  यत्र  विश्वाशः  सा  भार्या  यत्र  निर्वृतिः :  ||
                                          - चाणक्य नीति (२/४ )

भावार्थ -   वही  संतान श्रेष्ठ होती है जो अपने पिता की आज्ञाकारी
और उनका आदर करने  वाली होती है  और वही पिता श्रेष्ठ होता है
जो अपनी संतान का भरण पोषण भली प्रकार करता है |   मित्र वही
श्रेष्ठ  होता है जिस पर विश्वास किया जा सकता  है , और पत्नी वही
श्रेष्ठ होती है  जो वैवाहिक जीवन में सुख प्रदान करती है |

Tey putraa ye  piturbhaktaah sa pitaa yastu poshakah,
Tanmitram yatra vishvaashah  saa  bhaaryaa yatra nirvrutih

Tey = they.  Putraa = children.   Ye = who.    Pituh + bhaktaah.
Pituh = father's .   Bhaktaah = fathful, devoted to.   Sa =that.
Pitaa = father.     Yah = who.    Tu =is    Poshakah= nourisher,
supporter.     Tam + mitram .   Tam = that person.   Mitram =
a friend.     Yatra = where.    Vishvaasah = trust, reliance.
Saa = that.   Bhaaryaa = wife.   Nirvrutih = happiness, bliss.

i.e.     Those children are blessed who are faithful and devoted
to their father, and a father is the best father if he supports and
nourishes his family properly.   That friend is a best friend who
can be relied upon in case of a need and that wife is the best ,
who provides marital bliss to her husband and the family.
