Today's Subhashita.

बिलाद्बहिर्बिलस्यन्ते   स्थिते   मार्जारसर्पयोः  |
मध्ये चाSSखुरिवाSSभाति पत्नीद्व्ययुतो नरः ||

अर्थ -       दो पत्नियों वाले व्यक्ति की स्थिति एक बिल में रहने वाले उस चूहे के समान होती है जिसके मुहाने पर एक बिल्ली हो और अन्त में एक सर्प स्थित हो  |

Bilaadbahirbilasyaante sthite maarjaarasarpayoh.
adhye chaakhurivaabhaati patneedvyayuto narah .

Bilaadvahirbilasyaante = Bilaat +bahih + bilasya + ante.     Bilaat = of a hole.    Bahih = outside.
Bilasya = a hole's      Ante = in the end.      Sthite =staying, present.    Maaarjaarasarpayoh. =  maarjaar +
sarpayoh.     Maarjaar = a cat.      Sarpayoh = a snake.     Madhyze = in the middle.    Chaakhurivaabhaati = cha + aakhuh + iva + aabhaati.      Cha = and.     Aakhuh = a mouse.     Iva = like.     Aabhaati = appears.
Patneedvayayuto = patnee + dvya + yuto.     Patnee = wife.      Dvya = two.    Yuto = having.
narah = a man.

i.e.         The condition of a person having two wives is like that of a mouse living in a hole where at the mouth of the hole there is a cat and at the end of the hole there is a snake.
