विद्या ददाति विनयं विनयाद्द्याति पात्रता |
पात्रत्वाद्धनमाप्नोति धनाद्धर्मः ततः सुखम् ||
अर्थ - विद्या अर्जित करने से व्यक्ति मे विद्वता और विनम्रता आती है तथा इस के फलस्वरूप विभिन्न
कार्यों को करने की योग्यता और क्षमता प्राप्त होती है, जिससे व्यक्ति धनवान् हो जाता है | धनवान् होने के पश्चात् धार्मिक कार्यों को करने से जीवन सुख पूर्वक व्यतीत होता है |
Vidyaa dadaati vinayam vinayaaddyati paatrataam.
Paatratvaaadhanamaapnoti dhanaaddharmam tatah sukham.
Vidyaa = learning, knowledge. Dadaati = gives.. Vinayam = modesty, education.
Vinayaaddyati = vinayaat + yaati. Vinayat = through humility. Yaati = comes.
Paatrataa = competence.worthiness. Patratvaaddhanamaapnoti = Paatratvaat +dhana+aapnote.
Patratvaat = through competence. Dhana = wealth. Aapnoti = obtains, acquires.
Dhanaaddharmah = Dhanat +dharmh . Dhanaat = through wealth. Dharmah = Religion, ,doing
philanthropic deeds. Tatah = due to that. Sukham = happiness.
i.e. Acquisition of knowledge makes a person educated and modest, which in turn makes him worthy (having various skills) and helps him in acquiring wealth. By judicious use of his wealth for doing religious and philanthropic deeds he leads a happy life thereafter.
