अदाता  वंश  दोषेण  कर्मदोषाद्दरिद्रता |
उन्मादो मातृदोषेण पितृदोषेण  मूर्खता ||

अर्थ -       वंशानुगत दोष के कारण कोई व्यक्ति कृपण (कंजूस ) हो जाता है और व्यसनों तथा दुष्कर्मों  के
कारण  दरिद्र हो जाता है |   यदि माता या पिता में कोई वंशानुगत  या अन्य दोष हो तो मातृदोष के कारण
संतान  पागल  और पितृदोष के कारण मूर्ख हो जाती है  |

Unmaado maatrudoshena pitrudoshena moorkhataa..

Adaataa = a miser person who does not share his wealth for charitable purposes.
Vansha = family dynasty.     Doshena = due to some defect.   Karmadoshaaddridrataa =
Karmadoshaat + daridrataa.      Karmadoshaat = vices, sinful acts.     Daridrataa = poverty.
Unmaado =madness, crazy behaviour.            Matrudoshena =  due to some defect or inferiority of
the mother.        Pitrudoshena = due to some defect or inferiority of the father.
Moorkhataa = idiocy.

i.e.        Due to some hereditary defect a person becomes a miser and due to vices and sinful actions a person becomes poor.   Due to some defect or inferiority in the mother  the child becomes mad or crazy, and the defects in the father results in the child becoming an idiot.
