अद्रोहः सर्वभूतेषु कर्मणा मनसा गिरा |
अनुग्रहश्च दानं च सतां धर्मः सनातनः ||
अर्थ = इस संसार के समस्त प्राणीमात्र से मानसिक रूप से, अपने कर्मों द्वारा तथा अपने बोलने के तरीके
से कभी भी द्रोह न करना , एवं सभी के प्रति दया भाव रखना तथा दानशीलता, यही सज्जन व्यक्तियों द्वारा भारतीय सनातन धर्म का आदर्श अनुपालन है |
(इस सुभाषित द्वारा भारतीय सनातन धर्म के प्रमुख सिद्धान्तों अर्थात अहिंसा, प्राणिमात्र के प्रति दया और सेवा भाव को प्रतिपादित किया है और इन सिद्धान्तों का अनुपालन करने वाले व्यक्तियों को ही सज्जन और
सम्मानित व्यक्ति कहा गया है | )
Adrohah sarvabhooteshu karmanaa manasaa giraa.
Anugrahashcha daanam cha sataam dharmah sanaatanahh.
Adroha = freedom from malice and treachery. Sarvabhooteshu = towards all living beings.
Karmanaa = through deeds. Manasaa = through perception or in the mind. Giraa = speech.
Anugrahashcha = anugrahh +cha. Anugraha = kindness. Cha = and. Daan = donation.
Sataam = noble and righteous persons. Dharmah = religion,religious abstraction or duty.
Sanaatanah = eternal, for ever. (The Hindu Religion is also called 'Sanaatan Dhgarma' )
i.e. Not having any malice or treachery towards all living beings on this Earth through their actions, thoughts and speech, kindness towards every one, and sharing their wealth for charitable purposes, all these are the ways in which noble and righteous persons follow the tenets of the Sanaatan Dharma.
(Through this Subhashita the author has propagated the main tenets of Hi du Religion also called Sanaaatan Dharma, namely nonviolence towards all living beings, kindness towards all and sharing of wealth through charity for the benefit of the society.)
