आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

एकवर्णं  यथा  दुग्धं  बहुवर्णासु  धेनुषु  |
तथा धर्मस्य वैचित्र्ये सत्यमेकं परं पुनः || = महासुभषितसंग्रह

भावार्थ -   जिस प्रकार गायें विभिन्न  रंगों की होती हैं परन्तु
उनके दूध का रंग एक सा ही  श्वेत (सफ़ेद्) होता है, उसी प्रकार
विभिन्न धर्मों में भी विविधता होती है परन्तु उनके अन्दर निहित  
शाश्वत सत्य एक ही होता है |

Ekavarnam yathaa dughdham bahuvarnaasu dhenushu.
Tatha dharmasya vaichitryam satyamkam param punah.

Ekavarnam = having one colour .  Yathaa = for instance.
Dugdham = milk.         Bahuvarnaasu = many coloured.
Dhenushu = cows.              Tatha = in the same manner.
Dharmasya = Religion's.     Vaichitryam = variety.
Satyamekam = satyam + ekkam.   Satyam = truth.
Ekam one and only.   Param = greatly.    Punah = again.

i.e.     Just as cows are of different colours but the milk
produced by them is of the same colour , in the same
manner there are many Religions in this world following
different rituals, but the eternal truth behind them is the
same.
