आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

मृतस्य लिप्सा कृपणस्य  दिप्सा विमार्गगायाश्च रुचिःस्वकान्ते  |

सर्पस्य  शान्तिः कुटिलस्य  मैत्री  विधातृ सृष्टौ  नहि दृष्टपूर्वा   ||

भावार्थ -    एक मृत व्यक्ति की इच्छा, एक कंजूस व्यक्ति में अपनी 
संपत्ति का उपभोग करने की इच्छा के  अभाव का कारण, गलत कार्यों
में लिप्त किसी व्यक्ति का अपनी प्रेमिका के प्रति रुचि (लगाव),एक सर्प
की निष्क्रियताका कारण, एक कुटिल व्यक्ति के साथ मित्रता तथा विधाता
(सृष्टिकर्ता) की सृष्टि के बारे में कोई पूर्वानुमान नहीं किया जा सकता है |

Mrutasya lipsaa krupanasya dipsaa vimaargagaayaashcha 

ruchih svakaante.

Sarpasya shaantih kutilasy  maitree vidhaatru shrushtau

nahi drushtapoorvaa.

Mrutasya = a dead person's.   Lipsaa = longing for,  desire.

Krupanasya = a miser's .    Dipsaa = absence of desire.

Vimaargaayaashcha = a person going on the wrong path.

Ruchih = desire, interest.  Svakaante = one's own beloved.

Sarpasya = a snake's.    Shaantih =tranquility.    Kutilasya =

a crooked. person's .   Maitree = friendship.     Vidhaatru =

Destiny , Creator.    Srushtau = creation of the World.
Nahi = not at all.    Drushtapoorvaa = envisaged earlier.

i.e.    Nothing can be envisaged about a dead person's desires, 
the cause of absence of any desire to use his wealth in a miser, 
the interest of a person involved  in  wrong doings towards his
beloved, tranquility in a snake, friendship with a crooked person,
and the creation of this World by the Destiny.
