आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

मूर्ख  शिष्योपदेशेन  दुष्टा  स्त्रीभरणेन  च  |
दुःखितैः सम्प्रयोगेन  पण्डितोSप्यवसीदति || - चाणक्य नीति

भावार्थ - एक मूर्ख शिष्य को शिक्षा देने , एक दुश्चरित्र स्त्री के
साथ जीवनयापन करने तथा सदा दुःखी लोगों के सम्पर्क में
रहने से विद्वान व्यक्ति भी स्वयं दुःखी और निरुत्साहित हो
जाते हैं |

Moorkha shishyopadeshena dushtaa streebharanena  cha.
Duhkhitaih samproyegena panditopyavaseedati.

Moorkha = a foolish person.    Shishyopadeshena = shishya =
upadeshena.      Shishya = student, pupil.   Upadeshena = by
teaching.    Dushtaaa = unchaste and wicked woman.   Stree=
woman.    Bharanena = by supporting or maintaining.   Cha=
and.    Duhkhitaih = grieved, distressed.   Samprayogena  =
coming in contact with.    Panditopyavaseedati = pandito + api.
+ avaseedati.     Pandito = learned persons.       Api = even.
Avaseedati = disheartened.

i.e.    While teaching a foolish student,  living with a wicked
and unchaste woman, or remaining in continuous contact with
grieving and distressed people, even learned persons also become
grieved and disheartened.
