ज्ञानशक्तिसमारूढ तत्त्वमालाविभूषितः |
भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदाता च तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः ||
भावार्थ - अपने विशद ज्ञान की शक्ति तथा तत्त्वज्ञान रूपी
माला से सुशोभित , जीवनयापन तथा जीवनमुक्ति के साधनों
को प्रदान करने वाले गुरुदेव को सादर प्रणाम |
Gyaan-shakti-samaaroodha tattva-maalaa-vibhooshitah,
Bhukti-mukti-pradaataa cha tasmai shrigurave Namah,
Gyaana= higher knowledge. Shakti =power. Samaaroodha=
riding upon, endowed with. Tattva = the truth. Maala = a garland.
Vibhooshitah = adorned by. Bhukti = food, fruition.
Mukti = salvation, liberation. Pradaataa = giver, emancipator.
Ch = and. Tasmai = to him . Shrigurave = most respected
teacher. Namah = salutations .
i.e. O respected Guru (teacher) ! endowed as you are with the
power of higher knowledge and adorned by the knowledge of eternal
truth, and giver of means of livelihood and salvation to us, we most
respectfully bow before your good self.
