आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

लोकयात्रा  भयं  लज्जा  दाक्षिण्यं  त्यागशीलता    |
पञ्च  यत्र  न  विद्यन्ते  न कुर्यात्तत्र  संस्थितिम् || 
                                      -  चाणक्य नीति (१/१० )

भावार्थ - जिस प्रदेश में जीवनयापन  के साधन ,जनता में निषिद्ध 
कार्यों को करने  पर  राज्य द्वारा दण्डित होने का भय , शालीनता ,
दयालुता  तथा त्याग की भावनायें, ये पांच परिस्थितियां  नहीं होती
हैं   वहां कभी भी निवास नहीं करना चाहिये  |

(जब हम  वर्तमान समय में सीरिया, लीबिया, अफगानिस्तान  आदि
देशों की परिस्थिति को देखते है तो  उपर्युक्त सुभाषित की सत्यता
प्रमाणित हो जाती है | )

Lokayaatraa  bhayam  lajja  daakshinyam  tyaagasheelataa.
Panch  yatra   na  vidyante  na  kuryaattatra  smsthitim.

Lokayaatraa = support of life      Bhayam = fear.     lajjaa =
modesty.    Daakshinyam =  kindness .  Tyaagasheelataa =
liberality.    Pancha = five.    Yatra = where.   Na =  not.
Vidyante =  are  there.   Kuryaat  + tatra,   Kuryaat = do.
Tatra = there.   Smsthiti =   live , stay.

i.e.   In a Country where there is absence of these five virtues.
namely(i) no proper means of livelihood, (ii)  the citizens having
no fear of being punished for their wrong doings , absence  of 
(iii)modesty, (iv) kindness and (v) liberality,  one should never
stay or live in such a Country.

(The conditions prevailing in Syria, Libia, Afgaanistan etc now a
days proves the correctness of the above Subhashita.)
