Today's Subhashita.

आकीर्णः  शोभते  राजा  न  विविक्तः  कदाचन    |
ये तं विविक्तमिच्छन्ति  ते तस्य रिपवः स्मृताः ||

अर्थ -      एक राजा अपने  मन्त्रियों और सेवकों  से घिरा हुआ ही  शोभित होता है न कि कभी  भी अकेला होने पर |    जो लोग उसके सदैव अकेला होने की कामना करते हैं वे उसके शत्रु ही समझे जाते हैं |
      
Aakirnah shobhate  Raja na viviktah kadachan '
Ye tam viviktamicchanti te tasya ripavah smrutaah .

Aakirnah =  surrounded        Shobhate = looks majestic.     Raja + a King,     Na = not.
Vivikta = lonely, alone.     Kadaachana = never,  at any time.      Ye = those.     Tam = him.
Viviktamicchanti = Viviktam + icchanti.      Icchanti = desire, wish.     Te = they
Tasya = his      Ripavah = enemies.     Smrutaa = remembered as, declared as.

i.e.      A king looks majestic only when he is surrounded by his ministers and servants and never so when he is alone.   Those who wish him to be a lonely person, are declared as his enemies.
