Today's Subhashita.

अनलः शीतनाशाय  विषनाशाय  गारुणं |
विवेको दुःख नाशाय सर्वनाशाय दुर्मतिः ||

अर्थ -       आग तापने से  ठंड  दूर हो जाती है तथा 'गारुड् ' मन्त्र के जाप से  विष का दुष्प्रभाव  नष्ट हो जाता है |
विवेकपूर्ण आचरण से दुःखों का नाश हो जाता है और यदि कोई  व्यक्ति दुर्मति  (गलत विचार  और  आचरण)
से ग्रस्त हो तो उसका सर्वनाश हो जाता है |

Analah sheetanaashaaya vishanaashaaya gaarudam.
Viveko duhkha naashaaya sarvanaashaaya durmatih.

Analah = fire.     Sheetanaashaaya = sheeta + naashaaya.     Sheeta - cold.      Naashaaya =for driving away, destroying, removing.       Vishanaashaaya = Visha + naashaaya.      Visha = poison.
Gaarudam =  a 'Mantra' (a sacred text or prayer which has the power of saving the life of a person who has been poisoned .        Viveko =  wisdom, prudence.      Duhkh = sorrow, misery, suffering.     Sarvanaashaaya =  annihilation (destruction of every thing).  Durmatih =wrong notions, bad perception.

i.e.      A burning fire wards off  a spell of severe cold and chanting of 'Gaaruda mantra' destroys the ill effects of a poison .  Wisdom and prudent behaviour destroys all miseries and suffering,  and if a person has wrong notions and bad behaviour then it results in his annihilation .
